WebbI think that Rage of Dragons does something similar for people of African descent. Calling it a retread of European Fantasy seems a bit unfair to me. I agree with most of your criticisms and I think they're fair and well stated. I just wanted to share a different take on the book. I hate when a book is overhyped and dragged through the mud. WebbIt's just fast-paced and interesting and compelling and the characters and their motivations are so well done. It is a book about war, and one that looks at colonization and violence from caste system. If you're not in the mood for a lot of fight scenes, it's not for you.
