WebFeb 9, 2010 · I've run the Hornady 200gr FTX thru my 460S&W Carbine barrel, they run just under 2900fps, accuracy wasn't the best tho 2-3" 100yd groups. The 250gr SST ML bullet handloads w/Lil'gun did about the same at 2600fps, maybe a just a bit better. Next load I work with will be 2400 and the SST or 240gr XTP Mag. If I'm reading the listings right, it looks like the ML, Shotgun, Katahdin, and 24-26" rifle forends are different. The .460 S&W is an interesting round, and good one at that.
